Dear parents,

Friday July 29th will be carnival day at camp. All campers will participate in relays, carnival games, water games etc. In the afternoon, the different groups will show their peers some of what they have learned or otherwise done during camp. Half-day campers are welcome to stay all day. Due to space limitations we unfortunately cannot invite parents to the show.

Please make sure your campers bring their swim suit, a towel, shoes that can get wet and sun protection for this day!

Dear Aqua Parents, this week we will be traveling under the sea on a Clown Fish. We will be traveling to the Caribbean and exploring it’s nature, animal and  culture.

Theme: Underwater Travel to the Caribbean on a Clown Fish.

As we finish this third week of learning and fun activities, we are preparing to start our fourth week visiting the farms around the world on a chicken.

We will learn new words about farms, animals and plants. We will be painting, using play dough, glitter, construction paper and some other basic materials

Hello campers! Bienvenidos a la clase de deportes en Espanol.

This daily sports class is a fun way of incorporating exercise into the Spanish immersion camp. During our 30-45 minute classes, the children do such games ranging from pato, pato, ganso (duck, duck, goose) to futbol (soccer). They learn both teamwork and sportsmanship all while learning Spanish vocabulary (for example, colors, months, commands, and greetings). One game that the campers particularly enjoy is pulpo, pulpo (octopus, octopus) where they get to imitate a variety of animals and objects while avoiding el pulpo in the middle of the gym

When the weather is nice, the children are able to play their favorite games in sports class outside. Along with the daily sports class, I also supervise the children during water games or when they go to the pool.

This class focuses on developing each students motor skills according to their age group–but the most important goal of all is that the children have fun and enjoy a bilingual sports class!

We’ve had a wonderful first week with our explorers.

During our second week we will engage your children in different activities that will facilitate their capacity to learn the Spanish language.

We will travel through the Amazon jungle on a monkey and learn about other animals, plants and
jungle creatures.
